About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the AWOOGA Tugboat Users Group website and SMS notification service. By using our site or subscribing to notifications, you’re agreeing to sail by these rules.

If you don’t agree with these terms, please disembark now — no hard feelings, and fair winds to you.
 

The Service

AWOOGA operates a public web portal that displays real-time vessel status, allows visitors to send messages to the boat, and offers optional SMS notifications when the vessel connects. This is a community service operated by enthusiasts for enthusiasts — not a commercial operation.

 

SMS Notifications — Rules of the Waterway

By subscribing to SMS notifications you agree to the following:

  • You are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provide
  • You are voluntarily opting in to receive notifications about AWOOGA vessel activity
  • You understand that message frequency varies with vessel activity
  • You understand that standard message and data rates may apply
  • You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP or using the opt-out feature on our website
We reserve the right to discontinue the notification service at any time without notice, including but not limited to periods of dry dock, maintenance, or when the vessel is otherwise not operating.
 

Use of the Portal

The web control portal is provided for community interaction with the AWOOGA vessel. You agree not to:

  • Use the portal to send offensive, abusive, or inappropriate messages to the boat
  • Attempt to interfere with, overload, or disrupt the portal or its associated systems
  • Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the portal
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any administrative functions

We reserve the right to block any user who violates these terms without warning and without the courtesy of a foghorn blast.

 

No Guarantees — Sailing in All Conditions

AWOOGA is a working vessel and a hobby project. We make no guarantees about:

  • The uptime or availability of the website or notification service
  • The accuracy or timeliness of vessel status information
  • The delivery of SMS notifications, which depend on third-party carriers and services beyond our control
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Use it at your own risk, just as you would any voyage.
 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AWOOGA and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or notification service. This includes but is not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
 

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including the AWOOGA name, logo, and original written content, belongs to the AWOOGA Tugboat Users Group. You may not reproduce or use our content without permission.
