AWOOGA is a 14′3″ home-built CANDU E-Z mini tug powered by a 20 HP Tohatsu outboard and equipped with significantly more personality-related equipment than the original designer likely anticipated.
If confusion persists, consult the Captain.

Required procedure
Confirm each item before getting underway. The checkmarks are satisfying; the checks themselves are important.

Apply power smoothly. At low speed, anticipate delayed response and use short, deliberate inputs. Confirm the intended direction before shifting.
AWOOGA’s cabin gives the wind leverage. Approach docks at the slowest speed that preserves control, ideally into wind or current.
Reduce speed near shore, docks and other small craft. Maintain safe depth and never rely on draft estimates alone.
Keep people seated or braced, distribute weight evenly, and do not exceed the vessel’s established capacity.

⚠ Horn operation
Immediate action
Protect life first. Put on PFDs, maintain situational awareness, communicate your position, and call the Coast Guard on VHF channel 16 or 911 when immediate assistance is required. Conditions and vessel specifics govern every response.
Symptoms: Stack silent; crew morale declining.
Reset the controller and inspect servo linkage. If unresolved, claim the expression is intentional.
Identify cause, restore control, look around casually, and pretend nothing happened.
